(Barbados Nation) With one working day to go before Christmas, some Barbadians have been put on notice that they may not get their imported gift-laden barrels in time.
A bottleneck at the Bridgetown Port, compounded by the fact that containers are still arriving, makes it impossible for everyone to get their barrels, operations manager Ian Stuart told the WEEKEND NATION.
“I don’t think that everyone is expecting to receive their barrel before Christmas, to be honest,” Stuart said.
“It is usual that around this time of the year for there to be an increased number of barrels to the port, and because of this, some people will have to wait until after Christmas to get their items.”
