A housewife yesterday got her Christmas wish when she drove off in a brand New Toyota Allion car while 20 other persons won 32” flat screen televisions and 20 others were presented with hampers valued at $20,000.
These persons all submitted Ariel Soap powder packages in the Ansa McAl Christmas Promotion to win big for the holidays.
Bhagwandai ‘Gold’ Gangadeen, 49, the grand prize winner, from Cornelia Ida, West Coast Demerara, said she submitted 10 entries.
The woman said when she received the telephone call, her initial thought was that it was a prank. “When they said you won a car, I couldn’t believe it… then I started to yell 1I won a car, I won a car,’” she added.
“Buy Ariel, next year you will win something better than this car,” Gangadeen said as she encouraged other shoppers to buy Ariel soap powder.
Managing Director of Ansa McAl Beverly Harper stated that the competition was the first of its kind and noted that it was a success. “We just decided this year that we’d have a clean sweep of all those other soap powders and give away a brand new car,” she further stated.
“I am so happy that the competition was very successful throughout the entire country, from Bartica, Linden, Berbice, Essequibo, everybody took part. We had thousands and thousands of entries!” Harper stated.
