Police say that at about 2000h last night, Insurance Agent Andrew Correia, 56 years of ‘D’ Field, Sophia, was walking along the roadway at ‘A’ Field, Sophia, when he observed two suspicious looking men standing on the road.
According to the police, Correia threw a bag he had in his possession into a friend’s yard, whereupon one of the men shot him to his left foot and they fled.
Correia has been admitted a patient at the GPHC as the investigations continue.
