The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has scheduled a directors meeting in St. Lucia tomorrow morning and the current situation here with regards to the recent formation of an Interim Management Committee to run the affairs of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) is one of the very prominent items on the agenda.
This was confirmed to the newspaper by WICB public relations officer Imran Khan via telephone.
Expected to be at this meeting representing Guyana are the GCB President and Secretary respectively Ramsey Ali and Anand Sanasie. Both are WICB directors. According to sources in the GCB both of them left the country this morning for the meeting.
Lawyers for the GCB have moved to the courts to quash the government decision.
