LONDON, CMC – Bermudian striker Nahki Wells was on target in English Division 2 club Bradford City’s biggest win of the season, a 3-0 Boxing Day victory against fellow strugglers Crewe Alexandra.
Wells gave Bradford, nicknamed “The Bantams”, a second-minute lead after David Artell’s defensive header ricocheted off the Bermudian past Steve Phillips into the Crewe goal.
The 21-year-old Wells has now scored three goals since joining Bradford at the start of the season.
Crewe’s Lee Bell hit the underside of the crossbar from the penalty spot and striker James Hanson punished the visitors by hammering in a low shot.
Hanson made it 3-0 when he turned in Luke Oliver’s flick on from 10 yards.
