Former Penn State coach Paterno dies

STATE COLLEGE, Pa., (Reuters) – Legendary former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, fired in November after 46 years as head coach in the wake of a child sex abuse scandal involving an assistant, died today, his family said in a statement.

A fire of unknown origin charred the Lethem Multipurpose building yesterday morning destroying several pieces of office equipment and important documents since the building housed several offices including the Lethem Immigration Office which sustained the most damage.

Italy cruise disaster captain denies delaying alarm
