The National Sports Commission (NSC) is up and running and awaiting the passing of the budget before continuing the plans it has set for 2012.
“Yeah well everything is up and running and we are just waiting on the budget to continue with our programmes,” Director of Sports Neil Kumar told Stabroek Sport in a telephone interview yesterday.
With all its previous members and positions still in place, the NSC is primed to advance its programme. Kumar also said plans are in train for the NSC’s calendar event – the National Sports Awards Ceremony, set for March.
