LONDON, CMC – West Indies Women will play a five-match Twenty20 International series against England Women in September this year.
The England & Wales Cricket Board announced that the first two matches at the Riverside ground and Old Trafford on September 8 and 10 respectively, scheduled directly before England men take on South Africa in T20 Internationals will be televised.
The third women’s T20I will be played at the County Ground, Northampton, on September 13 followed by the penultimate match at the County Ground, Hove, two days later.
The series will culminate with the fifth T20I at Arundel Cricket Club in Sussex on September 16.
The series will be the last international competition for both teams before the Women’s World T20 in Sri Lanka, which starts 10 days later.
Before heading to India, West Indies are set to host India next month for a series of five T20Is and three One–day Internationals.
Matches will be played at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua, Windsor Park in Dominica, and Warner Park in St Kitts.
The WICB said on Thursday West Indies Women will have a 12-day pre-series camp in Antigua ahead of the series against India Women later this month.
The players will focus on fitness, match analysis and improving their skill levels ahead of the series. The Windies will also play two warm-up matches against local male opposition on February 11 and 12.
