Stabroek News in yesterday’s edition incorrectly reported that the Child Care and Protection Agency (CCPA) received over 3000 reports of sexual abuse last year.
Ann Greene, the CCPA head yesterday clarified that that figure represented the total number of child abuse reports for the year, a significant number of which were sexual abuse cases.
This newspaper regrets the error.
