Magistrate Haymant Ramdhani was yesterday charged with failing to submit to a breathalyzer test and was placed on self-bail after appearing before the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court.
The charge stemmed from a collision which occurred at Victoria Village, East Coast Demerara, when Victor Adams was injured after Ramdhani slammed into a parked car about two weeks ago.
Ramdhani pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that he failed to submit to a breathalyzer test.
The charge was read to him by Magistrate Nyasha Hatmin.
Ramdhani was represented by Senior Counsel Bernard De Santos and attorney at law Nigel Hughes.
The matter was transferred to the Cove and John Magistrates’ Court and will be called again on April 10.
