According to president of GABA, Steve Ninvalle, the association is happy that the TTBA has recognized the competence of referee/judges from Guyana.
Campbell and Patterson flew to Trinidad on Friday and were immediately summoned to perform their respective duties.
Ninvalle also pointed out that referee/judge Ramona Agard was specially requested by the TTBA; however, she was unable to make the trip because of passport issues.
Campbell and Patterson, who left for the Twin-Island Republic on Friday, will return to Guyana tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the GABA boss also disclosed that James Beckles, an International Boxing Association (AIBA) certified referee, will stage a seminar here next month. The five-day seminar is aimed at ensuring all local referees/judges are kept abreast with the rule changes that have been made by AIBA.
