We thank you for the opportunity to respond to a letter written by Pastor Ram about the access road at Lusignan (‘Heavy duty equipment destroying road around children’s playground’ SN, February 3). This road was always in a bad state and the situation has been made worse by the heavy rainfall.
This is one of the roads that we are contracted to rebuild. We have now moved our heavy equipment but it is unavoidable when road works are being done that some damage would take place.
Regrettably you did not seek our comment before publishing the letter and an article on the subject.
