When it comes to the National basketball League (NBA) DIRECTV, the world leader in digital television, just keeps getting better and better or maybe that should read bigger and better.
With the shortened 2011-12 season in high gear, DIRECTV, with its customers in mind, have added two more channels for basketball fans in Latin America.
The channels include NBA TV Channel 644/677 and will feature more games and programming platforms in addition to the
their own and exclusive DIRECTV Sports signals in standard definition on CH. 610 and high definition on CH. 1004 & 1010, as well as through premium sports programming packages.
“DIRECTV is the leading operator in sporting content, transmitting about 1000 hours of exclusive sporting events in high definition a year and with greater coverage of top events around the world,” a release from the company stated.
“Therefore we are pleased to be able to integrate content as the NBA TV. Thanks to this programming, DIRECTV no doubt becomes the place where all the basketball fans want to be to enjoy all the alternatives in the NBA,” it added.
“DIRECTV is the way to watch the matches as well as meet behind the best scenes of the Championship,” says Guillermo Barreto, Director of sports programming from DIRECTV Latin America.
The addition of NBA TV, complements the existing coverage of the NBA offered by DIRECTV in the region.
DIRECTV already offers the NBA Pass, a premium package which offers customers more complete coverage of the best basketball league with access to three games every day during the regular season, which equals about 300 games during the months of the regular season. In addition, the operator also offers exclusive games through their DIRECTV Sports (610) and DIRECTV Sports HD (1004 & 1010) signals, every Monday and Saturday.
“The League is committed to offer more ways to experience the thrill of our game for fans of Latin America,” said Philippe Moggio, Vice President of the NBA for Latin America.
“We’re very pleased with the expansion of our partnership with DIRECTV in Latin America, which allows fans to follow their teams and favorite players in different channels through DIRECTV,” he added.
