Inter-Corporation dominoes winners receive prizes

The top performers of the just concluded Inter-Corporation Dominoes competition organized by Next Level Sports Club were rewarded at a Presentation Ceremony Friday evening at Banks DIH Sports Club.

F&H Printing Establishment the winners of the 54-team competition took home the Banks DIH Trophy, $150,000 and nine medals.
The F&H team romped home to victory in the finals scoring 88 games to beat into second position Magnificent Six (Ministry of Home Affairs) on 68 while Guyana Legion ended on the carpet with 56 games.

Fourth Place went to Banks DIH while Ministry of Health placed fifth.

Organiser Lyall Gittens presents a donation to the mother of two-year-old Emmanuel Pratt who is in need of kidney surgery.

Magnificent Six received $100,000, the second place trophy donated by Michael Persaud of (TNT Dominoes Team), plus nine medals while Guyana Legion copped the Bovell Construction Trophy and $60,000.

Banks DIH took home the Lloyd Rollins Trophy and $20,000 while Ministry of Health received the H. Persaud Grocery Trophy and $10,000.

Samuel Humphrey of F&H was voted the Most Valuable Player (MVP) after he marked the maximum 18 games in the final. He received a Trophy and a hamper from Nigel’s Supermarket.

Gladstone Hopkinson of CJIA scored the first double love of the tournament and was also rewarded for his effort with the Harry and Gittens Trophy.

Tournament Coordinator Lyall Gittens said the tournament was a resounding success and expressed gratitude to the 54 teams that took part in the tournament.

He also thanked Banks DIH for supporting the tournament.

The organizers presented a financial donation to two-year-old Emmanuel Pratt who is in need of a kidney surgery from proceeds of the event.

Prizes were presented by the sponsors and officials of Next Level Sports Club.
