Softball teams interested in participating in the third annual Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) Company Limited 10/10 tournament now have until Monday to register following a decision to extend the registration period.
According to a release the decision to give teams additional time to enter the tournament was made following the overwhelming response
By teams to the organizers, the Guyana Softball League (GSL) and the telephone company.
Over G$30m in prizes and incentives will be at stake in the tournament.
Registration forms are only available in the colourful GT&T Magazines which are available at the company’s Business Offices and from members of the GSL.
This year’s competition is expected to be bigger and better with the increase in prize money and defending male champions, Wolf Warriors, will have their work cut out.
And while Wolf Warriors are no doubt confident of repeating as champs, a new female champion team will be crowned this year time since last year’s champion team Berbice All Stars has split up.
The GT&T 10/10 competition is one of the more popular softball competitions annually and
CEO of GT&T Yog Mahadeo at the tournament launching, had stated that he was proud but humbled by the massive response the tournament has received over the past two years.
