Dear Editor,
I am a regular customer of Quality fast food restaurant where I purchase bread every other day. One whole wheat loaf costs $240 and the white bread costs $220.
On Friday, February 10, just in front of the door as you enter, there was a large blackboard which said, ‘Whole Wheat $280 and White Bread $240.‘
Now to my mind this is a big increase. This is forty dollars more for whole wheat – why not $260? There are other bakeries which sell for $240 and $260 and have tried to keep the prices down to accommodate the public. Twenty dollars short of $300 for a loaf of bread? – come on, this is too high.
Yours faithfully,
J Braithwaite
