Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda W. Baldwin Spencer has condemned the brutal killing of a 39 year-old female service station attendant
over the weekend during a robbery, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
Spencer yesterday released a statement following news that the mother of two children succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds:
“I am deeply saddened by this brutal killing of Dorothy Prince who was gunned down while making a living to support her family. This
senseless act must be condemned and rooted out of our society. I therefore call on all law-abiding citizens to lend their support to the security forces in apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this crime. As a society, we deserve to live in an environment where our lives and collective peace of mind are not threatened by criminals who have a wanton disregard for humanity. The police and other security forces have advised that they will be stepping up their efforts in solving this murder and other crimes.
I also call on the nation to keep the children and family of Dorothy Prince and victims of crime in your prayers. I pledge government¹s unwavering commitment to prevent and detect crime and to ensure that we deliver on our stated development priority to improve the safety of our people
and property.”
