(Barbados Nation) A fabrication! That’s how a special Barbados report has described allegations by Jamaican Shanique Myrie.
Myrie has accused Immigration officials of an unlawful cavity search on her at Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) as she sought entry to the island on March 14 last year.
“We will stoutly defend our position,” attorney at law Roger Forde, QC, told the SUNDAY SUN after filing defence papers Friday for a scheduled April hearing of the Myrie case against the Barbados Government before the Trinidadian-based Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ).
The Barbados report, commissioned by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart shortly after the well publicised incident, and now made public for the first time, revealed that a comprehensive and thorough police investigation had found Myrie’s finger-rape allegations not to be true.
