St John’s, Antigua – Cricket fans in the Caribbean and across the world can now make online purchase of tickets for the Digicel Series – West Indies v Australia.
Fans can log on to www.windiescricket. com to submit their purchase orders and make payment via credit card. WICB Events Manager, Cindy McLean commented: “Online ticket purchase for major events is standard practice in the sportainment world these days and we’re delighted that West Indies cricket fans and fans from around the world who are coming to the Caribbean for cricket can now purchase their tickets hassle free and at their convenience.”
This is the first time fans can purchase tickets for a WICB event online.
Previously Caribbean fans were able to purchase tickets online but only for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 and ICC World Twenty20 2010.
There is a limit of six tickets per match. Ticket prices range between US$3 for the Dominica Test to US$58 for a season pass for the Barbados matches.
Children under 16 and senior citizens over 60 years of age will be admitted free. The free children and senior citizens tickets are only available at the local ticket office.
Fans who buy tickets online can pick up their order at the local box office at the venue for where tickets were booked. Fans who need to refer directly to the WICB for assistance with the online ticketing system may call 1 800 744 GAME (4263) or 1 268 481 2490.
