The 16-year-old suspect in the murder of Anfernee Bowman yesterday surrendered to police in the company of his lawyer.
Bowman, of Lot 77 Robb Street, Bourda, suffered three stab wounds on Monday last. Reports are that Bowman, a Chase Academy student, had just finished his lessons in the vicinity of Festival City Exit, when he had an altercation with the suspect, another student. The dispute ended in the suspect stabbing Bowman. Bowman was pronounced dead at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The suspect was in police custody up to last evening assisting with the investigation. A post-mortem examination was expected to be performed yesterday on the body of Bowman, but efforts made to contact relatives about the findings proved futile.
