Suriname Airways’ direct flight between Georgetown and Miami will be launched in April.
According to a release from the Government Information Agency today, it emanated from a decision taken by the Government and Suriname Airways to provide Guyanese and foreigners alike with more convenient travelling.
Acting Minister of Tourism, Irfaan Ali at a press conference today commended Suriname Airways for the bold initiative.
GINA said that Suriname Airways’ Vice President of Commercial Affairs Dr. Clyde Cairo believes that Guyana will be the prime beneficiary of the new Miami-Georgetown flight service since travellers will be going in and out of Guyana on a regular basis.
