PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Trinidad and Tobago have been boosted by the return of West Indies opener Adrian Barath, the only change to their 13-man squad to face Guyana in their sixth round Regional Four-Day match here this weekend.
Barath injured his hand against Barbados in T&T’s third round match at Kensington Oval and has been sidelined ever since.
The right-hander’s presence will be a welcome one especially after T&T’s batting failed in both innings against Jamaica last weekend, as the hosts crashed to a heavy 192-run loss at Queen’s Park Oval.
All-rounder Sherwin Ganga has been dropped to make way for Barath.
T&T are third in the standings on 28 points, eight adrift of Guyana who are second, with Jamaica the runaway leaders on 60 points.
SQUAD – Rayad Emrit (captain), Justin Guillen, Adrian Barath, Marlon Barclay, Jason Mohammed, Aneil Kanhai, Imran Khan, Kevon Cooper, Gibran Mohammed, Shannon Gabriel, Teshawn Castro, Emile Rajah, Kavesh Kantasingh.
