Dear Editor,
I find it odd that the Guyana Times which prides itself in being the “Beacon of Truth” would place me at some media consultation in Linden by a group calling itself the Independent Media Association of Guyana, when in fact I was never a part of any such meeting and or consultation in mind, body or soul. And have never been a part of any meeting hosted by that group.
The meeting according to the Guyana Times report took place on Saturday, March 10 which would be the same Saturday that I was driving back from Suriname having completed coverage of the Caricom meeting there last week for Capitol News and the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC).
I’ve been there, done the reports, and have the receipts, immigration stamps and bumper stickers to show.
Suriname is where I was and not in Linden. I passed the Beacon on the Corentyne River but never spoke with the “Beacon of Truth”!
It is totally impossible for me to be on the Corentyne coast and in Linden all at the same time.
It’s either the Guyana Times is in the business of creating fact out of fiction or there was an imposter at that meeting. Whatever it may be, I demand a correction and an apology from the Guyana Times.
Yours faithfully,
Gordon Moseley
