(Barbados Nation) Stranded REDjet passengers yesterday demanded their money back as two competing regional airlines immediately moved to pick up the slack caused by the sudden suspension of services by the Barbadian-based low-cost carrier.
When the SUNDAY SUN team visited Grantley Adams International Airport after midday, the REDjet check-in area resembled a ghost town, with no passengers or officials in sight. The same was true for airline booths across the island.
The SUNDAY SUN received several calls from angry passengers who also turned to REDjet’s Facebook page to vent their anger.
“I want to know why they took my money if REDjet was cancelling flights,” said an upset Ferdinand Sandiford.
