Deborah Barocas presented a copy of her first book

Overseas-based Guyanese writer Deborah Barocas, while on a recent visit here, presented a copy of her first book Guyana’s Tasty Exotic Foods of Six Peoples to wife of Prime Minister Sam Hinds, Mrs Yvonne Hinds. Barocas, who left Guyana 32 years ago, said the book’s recipes sought to highlight “vivid memories of cooking in kitchens of old [Guyana’s] rhythms, culture and history, unique and rich beyond compare”.
