A 45-year-old woman was brutally stabbed to death in her Canefield, East Canje home last night and the prime suspect, her reputed husband is on the run.
Dead is Bibi Shameena Deen. Reports are that a relative witnessed the attack which occurred sometime after 11 pm and raised an alarm.
A senior police official said that the woman had visible wounds to her head and body. The officials said that the man is a US citizen and there are suspicions that he might have already fled to Suriname.
