A man who was employed at the Guyana Revenue Authority was sentenced on Wednesday to one year’s imprisonment by Magistrate Sueann Lovell when he appeared before her at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to answer a charge of larceny by clerk or servant.
Eon Havercome, also known as DJ Moses, of Lot 22 Railway Street, Triumph, East Coast Demerara, was accused of stealing $976,146 belonging to the Guyana Revenue Authority while he was employed there. The money was repaid.
