A woman who appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton on a charge of larceny was placed on $30,000 bail yesterday at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Samanta Mentus, 25, of 18 William Street, Campbellville pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to her.
It is alleged that on January 4, 2012 at Sheriff Street, Campbellville, the defendant stole one pair of gold and diamond stud earring valued $30,000, belonging to Shawn Carrington.
The accused is expected to return to Court Six on April 17.
