A Camp Street prisoner was yesterday wounded during an early morning fight and after being treated at the Georgetown Hospital was returned to the correctional facility.
Hospital officials gave the injured man’s name as Richard Bruce. He arrived at the medical facility at 6:25 am with a stab wound. This newspaper was told that the injury was not life threatening and as such after being treated he was discharged.
Prison Head Dale Erskine when contacted said that there was a fight between prisoners in the capital division around 6 am. He said that during the fight one of the prisoners was injured with a sharp implement.
