The Theatre Guild Playhouse, synonymous with theatre in Guyana for over four decades, will tonight be transformed into a serious battleground for chiseled physiques when the Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding Fitness Federation (GABBFF) hosts their Muscle Madness 2012 Novice and Intermediate Bodybuilding Competition.
The competition is scheduled to attract the crème de le crème of Guyana’s first time and intermediate male and female bodybuilders.
A record number of 40 athletes in total from Linden, Georgetown, East Bank, East Coast, Linden and Berbice will take to the stage for tonight’s battle.
Sixteen gyms in total will have representatives.
Mark ‘Uno’ Perry, the men’s overall winner of the inaugural Hugh Ross Classic will take the stage as a guest poser.
Winners and the top two runners-up of each category will receive trophies, compliments of local beverage giant Banks DIH Limited. The top finishers will also benefit from supplement hampers, compliments of Fitness Express.
Contributions were also made by Hand in Hand, Subs and Salads, DeSinco Gama Fit Biscuits, Tons of Fun and Kross Kolor Records.
The event will commence at 19:00hrs. Admission is $1000.
