Three groups are vying to complete the Amaila Falls road and transmission line clearing project and bids opened today showed a more than $1B difference between the highest and lowest submissions.
Government reopened the tender for the project after ending a controversial US$15.4M contract with contractor Makeshwar ‘Fip’ Motilall’s Synergy Holdings, citing missed deadlines. Motilall has since sued the government alleging a breach of contract and the government has counter-sued him.
