(Barbados Nation) The police battle against crime linked to the cash for gold business is heading to Cabinet.
Commissioner of Police Darwin Dottin said the problem had not only engaged the top brass of the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF), but would also be drawn to the attention of Ministers of Government.
“This has almost reached epidemic proportions in Barbados. So we’re fighting a massive battle with it. I have weekly sessions with my senior officers about it and we’re having discussions with our Ministry [of Home Affairs] and I believe that they’re preparing something to go to Cabinet soon,” he told the SUNDAY SUN.
“It really has to be controlled, but you’ll hear more about this in due course.”
