The body of 64-year old Claudette Seymour of Lamaha Springs was found floating in a canal, in Lamaha Springs yesterday after she had been missing for a brief period.
According her son Tavin Seymour she had been sitting at the edge of the canal apparently intoxicated and she may have slipped into the deep waters and drowned. He said that she usually sits there and consumes alcohol whenever “she misses her children.”
He added that when she slipped into the canal there would have been no one to save her and because of the alcohol in her system she drowned.
The grieving man said that Seymour had been missing since 2 pm Friday and that may have been when she drowned, because searches for her did not locate her.
