The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) held its first 15’s trial game at the National Park yesterday in preparation for the Rugby World Cup 2015 NACRA Caribbean Regional Qualifier.
Players were invited to participate in the first trial game from which a national 30-man squad will be selected and after further trials the national 22-man team will be selected.
Guyana will play its first game in the second round of the southern qualifying tournament against Barbados on May 22 in that country.
The local ruggers will then take on regional powerhouse Trinidad and Tobago at the Providence National Stadium on June 2.
