An elderly man and his wife were on Saturday last attacked and robbed of $1.2 million at their business place at Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara.
Businessman Khemchand, 72, and his wife Lakrajie Khemchand experienced the attack around 5 pm while they were in the business. According to a police press release, the couple was robbed by a woman and two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
Investigations are said to be in progress.
