Former Commissioner of Police, Winston Felix this afternoon challenged Minister of Home Affairs, Clement Rohee to produce evidence that he (Felix) is in possession of a radio belonging to the Guyana Police Force.
Felix said that Rohee’s accusation in a GINA release yesterday came as a result of his statement in his presentation in Parliament that the Government had hired the now convicted drug lord Roger Khan to help fight crime.
Felix said that the Government does not want him touching this issue and he feels that Rohee’s utterance was merely a ploy to get the police to search his home and this is something he expects.
He also expressed concerns about the minister’s continued attempts to interfere with the work of the new acting commissioner Leroy Brumell, a situation he described as “political interference.”
