The diocese of the Anglican Church of Guyana will be hosting the biennial provincial clergy gathering from Sunday, April 22 to Friday, April 27 at the Regency Suites Hotel under the theme “Pursuing the Call”.
The event will begin with a procession of the delegates from Independence Park on Middle Street to the Cathedral for the Mass which will begin at 4:00pm.
Archbishop of the West Indies, Dr John Holder and Rev Cornell Jerome Moss, Bishop of Guyana, will be presiding.
The business sessions will commence on Monday at the Regency Suites with welcome remarks by Diocesan Chancellor, Justice Desiree Bernard, followed by social activities including a reception hosted by the Bishop of Guyana, a cultural show at the Theatre Guild and tours to places of interest.
Delegates from The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Jamaica, the North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba, Trinidad and Tobago, Windward Islands and Guyana are scheduled to participate in the gathering.
The delegates from the various countries will begin arriving in Guyana tomorrow.
