East Ruimveldt Secondary brushed aside North Georgetown Secondary 4-0 in their Group ‘B’ match of the Scotia Bank/Pepsi Schools football tournament at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue yesterday.
Romel Legall netted a double as East Ruimveldt faced little resistance from their opponents in the fast-paced encounter.
Legall opened the scoring in the 21st minute and returned to score again in the 59th minute.
Ashmelie Barrington and Craig Hughes scored a goal each in the 26th and 31st minutes respectively.
The competition continues on Saturday with three matches at the same venue.
Christ Church Secondary will tackle Lodge Secondary in the lone boys’ game at 09:30 hours.
Defending champions North Georgetown Girls will be looking to come out victorious when oppose newcomers Campbellville Secondary at 10:45.
The final game on the day will bring together Tutorial High and St. Stanislaus College at 12:15 hours.
