(Jamaica Gleaner) Broadcaster Wayne Whyte and Safari Farr the men charged in relation to the shooting of journalist Jody-Ann Gray have been remanded.
They are to reappear in the Gun Court on May 25.
The Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewellyn says by that time, she is expected to receive all the statements from witnesses and have them served on the defence.
Whyte and Farr are on charges of wounding with intent, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
The police are yet to release details on a third man who was held in connection with the incident.
The prosecution had indicated that the matter would be heard in private in the interest of justice given the high level of publicity surrounding the case.
Gray, who is seven months pregnant is Whyte’s co-worker at KOOL 97FM.
She was shot as she arrived home in Cedar Grove in Portmore, St. Catherine on April 4.
The police say as she was about to get out of her motor car, she was pounced upon by a man, who shot her once in the face and twice in the arm.
The man then jumped into a waiting Corolla motor car, which was being driven by Whyte.
The car was intercepted by the police and the men taken into custody.
Whyte is represented by attorneys Christopher Townsend and Tameka Harris.
