The Youth Ministries Department of the Assemblies of God (Guyana) will next Tuesday host its annual National Conference, which aims to exhibit youth talent, skill and potential for nation building.
This year’s event is being hosted under the theme “Let your light so shine-Identifying your gifts and developing a heart for servant-hood.’ The theme is inspired by Matthew 5:16, which says: “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
The Department has been hosting this event for more than 30 years in various parts of the country, a press release from the organisers said.
In addition to internationally renowned speaker Rev M Raphael Massiah, the programme will feature a display of the performing and creative arts.
The conference aims to provide a platform for youth to display their talent in song, poetry, drama and dance and an opportunity to promote local culture and national identity.
The conference will be held at the Providence stadium at 9am.
