(Trinidad Express) Relatives of three teenage sisters who disappeared from their Laventille home on Thursday afternoon are seeking the public’s assistance in locating them.
The girls are Kizzy, 16; Akilah, 15; and Allisha Bengochea, 19. They were reported missing to Besson Street police by their mother, Vanessa Nichols, yesterday.
Kizzy is a pupil of St Martin’s Girls’ High School in Belmont while Akilah attends Mucurapo West Secondary school. Allisha is a pupil of the Servol Life Centre in Beetham.
According to Nichols, she left the girls at their Light pole 16A, Upper Wharton Street, Laventille, home around 6 a.m. on Thursday and left for work.
During the day, she spoke with them, and 15 minutes before she arrived at home, she spoke with Kizzy and indicated she was on her way home.
Nichols added that when she arrived home at 6 p.m., the girls were nowhere to be found and the house was closed.
She said there were no signs the girls had packed their bags and left, adding the disappearance was an unusual occurrence.
Calls to the cellphones of the girls have gone straight to voicemail, and checks with their friends and other relatives have so far turned up empty-handed, Nichols said.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the girls may contact officers of the Besson Street Police Station at 623-1395 or Nichols at 375-9134.
