The decomposed body of an elderly man was discovered in his home at Lot 10, North Section, Canal No.2 around noon yesterday.
Dead is Deo Singh who is said to be in his nineties. He is reported to have died of natural causes.
Singh who resided alone had not been seen for a few days, when neighbours became suspicious about his whereabouts.
His neighbours said that on Thursday they began to smell a very high stench coming from the man’s house. They added that after the stench continued they informed the police who checked the premises and made the discovery.
Singh is said to have one child and his wife is said to be living in Trinidad, his neighbours noted.
