Amid deep cuts to its 2012 budget and speculation that it wants to call a snap election, the PPP this afternoon announced that it will be hosting public meetings across the country.
In addition, it said that over 130 community meetings are also scheduled for the next few days and teams of government and party leaders are undertaking outreaches in regions 7, 8, 9 and 1.
“The purpose of these engagements is to discuss the impact of the AFC/APNU budget cuts as well as update the general public on the PPP/C Government position and response as we seek to maintain the development momentum in Guyana”, the party said in a statement today.
