The Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) Hadi’s World Inc/City Mall nationwide male/female softball tournament concludes this weekend, with both the semi-finals and finals starting at 10 am at the Cyril Potter College ground.
In the male category Wolf Warriors who also are in the GT&T 10/10 softball semi-finals will tackle Regal in the opening semi-finals before Floodlights and Success Masters lock horns.
Wolf Warriors defeated Affiance Storm of Essequibo in the quarter-finals, Memorex of Berbice in the semi- finals to qualify for the finals. Wolf Warriors will face popular city team Regal who defeated Celebrity Times of Berbice in the quarter-finals, then Trophy Stall in the semi-finals.
These matches were played on Tuesday at the CPC ground.
In the female category the winners of 4R Lioness versus Wellwoman and Trophy Stall Angels versus Karibbe Rice Strykers will take on each other for female supremacy.
Success Masters for the first time will play against Floodlights in the finals of the Over-40 category. All these actions are happening on Saturday. Admission is free.
Each of the three finals carries a winning prize of $100,000 and a trophy. Runners-up will receive $50,000 and a trophy. Player-of-the-Match and Player-of-the- Series will each receive $10,000 and a trophy. The competition commenced on January 22.
