(Jamaica Gleaner) The first day of the tour match between West Indies and Sussex Sharks at the Probiz County Ground in England was abandoned because of rain.
Meanwhile, only 11 fit West Indies players were available for the match as three players, including Jamaican Marlon Samuels, are yet to arrive in the United Kingdom.
Samuels is believed to be in transit following his Indian Premier League stint with Pune Warriors. The Guyanese pair of Narsingh Deonarine and Assad Fudadin are in Jamaica, awaiting visa clearance to travel.
West Indies will play a three-Test series against England. The first Test starts on May 17 at Lords.
The series also includes three one-day internationals and a Twenty20 International.
