A woman who allegedly assaulted a man at Broad and Charles Streets was yesterday put on $10,000 bail when she appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton.
The court heard that Amanda Cummings on May 3 at Broad and Charles Streets, Charlestown, assaulted Roy Simmons.
After Cummings pleaded not guilty to the charge she and Simmons were asked to agree to an undertaking to have nothing to do with each other during the continuation of the matter.
Simmons seemed a bit confused about the condition imposed but he was told to hold his explanation for the magistrate who will be hearing the case and he was also informed that the condition was being imposed on both defendant and complainant.
Cummings was placed on bail and told to return to court on May 16.
