Sarkozy conceded victory half-an-hour after close of polls

Dear Editor,

Half-an-hour after the close of polls in the French presidential election last Sunday, the incumbent, President Sarkozy, telephoned his opponent François Hollande to concede victory. Voter turn-out was over 37 million and the results split 51.63%-48.37%.

Yours faithfully,
Mike McCormack
