Rehabilitation works continue on Linden-Lethem road: A section of the rehabilitated road Linden-Lethem road, where repair works are ongoing. The Government Information Agency (GINA) said an engineer attached to the Public Works Ministry’s Work Services Group reported that the works are already having an impact as despite the rainy weather it remains passable to vehicular traffic. Four maintenance contracts are currently being executed along the Linden-Lethem area, which are expected to be completed by the end of June. The works are being executed in three stages by MMC, BK International and Dipcon Engineering, under the Government Hinterland Road Project. Work needs to be done on sections of bad patches and from Siparuni to Kurupukari in the Iwokrama concession area which is experiencing torrential rainfall.
