Dear Editor,
Mr Charles Sampson is currently a councillor on both the IMC of Linden and the Region 10 RDC. This situation is most irregular and prevents other capable and deserving voices from participation in local government in Region 10.
At first I thought that it was an oversight, or maybe that Mr Sampson was deemed indispensible to the advancement of good governance in Linden/Region 10. Later I was informed that the matter had been brought to the attention of local leaders, the leadership of APNU and the PNCR, and the Minister of Local Government.
It then begs the question, why is Mr Sampson still holding both positions? Is this impotence, lack of leadership, or indifference about governance in Linden/Region 10?
