Cops believe suspects in T&T murder hiding on East Coast

While police are not forthcoming with the local media on their search for the suspects in the Trinidad and Tobago murder of 18-year-old Nikita Ramischand, Trinidad Newsday has reported that officers believe the men have moved from Georgetown to Enterprise, East Coast Demerara.

Nikita, the daughter of prominent Guyana-born Trinidadian attorney, Odai Ramischand, was brutally killed on April 25. The main suspect in her murder is a 25-year-old construction worker who her family had hired three months prior, to complete some work on their property.

The teen had become familiar with the individual and frequently spoke to him on the telephone, Newsday had reported.

A source close to the family had told Stabroek News that the Trinidadian police have disclosed that there were two persons involved in the murder and not one as was originally believed. There are now reports that both men are Guyanese and have both fled here.
